My journey into photography began at the age of ten when my uncle gave me with his old film camera as a gift. Back then, films were expensive, hence mastering the technical skills of photography was essential. My passion only grew when my mother gave me a simple automatic camera for my birthday. I remember bringing back eleven rolls of film from my first trip abroad, developing and printing them all cost a small fortune, but it was worth every penny.
More than 20 years ago, I joined an American chain of photography studios as a Marketing Director (my first degree was in Marketing). It was here that my love for portrait photography truly blossomed. Fascinated by the work happening around me, I began assisting the photographers, moving backdrops, adjusting lights, and learning from some of the best photographers in the industry.
Not long afterwards, I photographed my first client on my own. More than 20 years later, I still remember her story.
Since then, I’ve photographed people from all walks of life, but one thing has never changed: my fascination with people and the unique journeys that shape them.
